‘What the 80’s thought the future would sound like’ is how ADAL’s music has been described. The artists enigmatic future pop consists of beats that you just can’t help but dance to, along with hints of 80’s and 90’s RnB.
The Hope and Ruin, one of Brighton’s liveliest and quirky bars with a thriving music venue, will see ADAL perform this December. The venue has seen the likes of many exceptional upcoming bands, as well as being a host venue for Brighton’s own festival The Great Escape – in which ADAL himself has also took part in.
His single ‘Fire to You’ received an enthusiastic response having featured on Spotify’s Discover Weekly for the last 20 weeks and gained over 100,000 plays.
Alongside ADAL at the Hope and Ruin will be Swedish sensation Tilda Allie. Inspired by Bjork and Lykke Li – but in no way something we have all heard before – Tilda’s combination of jazz, soul and electro pop is dreamy and elevating. Her songs have been played by BBC introducing and tracks like ‘Further Than You’ has been previewed by Spindle magazine.
Malaysian artist, based in Brighton, Kai Zawawi, also known as mononym KAI will also be making an appearance with Tilda Allie and ADAL. Kai and her band embodies a fusion of electronic, soul and dance music. This combination, alongside her hypnotic voice, creates an atmosphere to get lost in with the music evaporating anything else from the outside world.
The gig will take place on Tuesday 19 Dec and together the three artists, will assemble a night of electrifying sounds that would leave any attendee wanting more and longing to dance throughout the night.
Tickets are £3 Advance and £4 OTD, and kicks off around 7pm.
