Best of Brighton Clubbing – Dec 2017

BASEMENT JAXX (DJ SET)Basement Jaxx by jean-luc brouard

Fri 8 Dec

The Arch

Two words as synonymous with British dance music as ‘Red Bull’ or ‘one more!’, Basement Jaxx bring the noise to Brighton. Starting up in Brixton way back in 1994, they took their self-titled night around clubbing institutions like The George IV, The Crypt and The Junction. The release of their debut album, Remedy took them out of the clubs and into the Top 40. Tunes like Red Alert, Jump N’ Shout, Bingo Bango, and Rendez-Vu became instant party-starters and forged a fearsome reputation for the pair. With a list of club-bangers to their name longer than Donald Trump’s tie, they now bring their eclectic, euphoric and uncompromising DJ skills to the south coast for an epic party.

Her vinyl-only DJ sets and intuitive ability to weave the deepest mixes have seen her become a figurehead amongst the next generation of house music virtuosos.
