How did a company tour in Shakespeare’s day? A group of actors would leave London on tour, with a variety of roles in three or four plays. The choice of performance was left up to the audience to decide.

Join as a group of 8 actors, follow in Shakespeare’s tradition offering the BOAT audiences a choice of three plays: The Merchant of Venice, The Taming of the Shrew and Twelfth Night. Each performance will be placed in the hands of the audience to decide what will be performed at each performance. Which will you decide?


 

THE RELUCTANT DRAGON

Join Quantum Theatre’s enchanting adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s touching story of bravery and friendship between a young boy and dragon who loves poetry and hates fighting – not your traditional dragon stereotype! Will the young boy be able save his dragon friend and convince his community to accept him?

Ever thought twice about eating a biscuit? You should now as The Ministry of Biscuits casts a sinister shadow over every elevenses in the land. Until a junior designer creates a biscuit to “shake confectionary to its very foundations…” Carnegie-Medal-winning novelist Philip Reeves and award-winning composer Brian Mitchell’s show is satire as its best.

RIALTO THEATRE

Loosely Based Theatre Company presents this story of two strangers worlds colliding on the roof of a multi-storey car park one night. A girl who wants to jump, and the hapless security guard who tries to stop her. Owls uses humour to look at the challenging issues surrounding attempted suicide and mental illness, creating a bold and unflinching view of a difficult topic.
