Stand Up & Slam ends 2017 with a bang!

A unique comedy v poetry show, Stand Up & Slam has proved to be hugely popular in Brighton, and they’ll be going out with a ‘Bang’ their last show in 2017. Headed to Brighton’s Komedia on Weds 20 Dec. It’ll be a great pre-Xmas night out, with a party atmosphere – as the scene’s finest comedians and poets have their final ‘BATTLE of the SPOKEN WORD’ .

This show has played to packed houses at the Komedia for over two years, redefining expectations of stand-up comedy and performance poetry. Think poets are pretentious, thesaurus wielding boredom machines? Find comedians an annoying bunch far too fond of willy jokes? Think again. Now you can pick a side and cast your vote as the best of the UK’s wordsmiths and comics go head to head for your approval in three killer rounds of Stand Up Comedy Vs Spoken Word with hilarious and unexpected results!

It’s hosted by their resident Team Captains – comedians Tom Houghton and Eshaan Akbar, and poets Dan Simpson and Oli Forsyth. The show features four guest performers doing what they do best before taking on the competition in this tongue in cheek, but also deathly serious, battle for victory. Who are the winners? You decide!
