Proud Country House in Stamner Park has just opened the doors on Source – it’s fabulous new dining experience. Head chef James Mitchell believes in starting with the finest ingredients, treating them with respect and letting the quality speak for itself. His Autumn Menu includes dishes like pickled and grilled south coast mackerel, beef ribs on the bone, game chips with pepper sauce and the very best pork scratchings anywhere.
All meat and freshly grown produce is sourced from within 20 miles of the restaurant’s front door. It seeks to present seasonal menus using ingredients which are simply and beautifully cooked, and then served at a price which is fair for everyone – from producer to guest. The quality of the menu is ably matched by the sumptuous Georgian surroundings of this Grade I listed manor which has been sensitively restored, making the whole experience a wonderful new addition to the Brighton & Hove dining scene.
Source and BN1 Magazine are giving away a three course meal for two, with a bottle of wine, in January.
