Step back in time for a Sussex celebration in the enchanted setting of Firle Park, Lewes this 11 – 12 Aug. Featuring a host of beautiful cherry-picked Antique flea-market and vintage stands, plus, original 1880 Victoriana fair-rides and Croquet games to have a whirl on.
There will be plenty of interesting workshops to take part in, including a rocking horse workshop, jewellery making, flower wreath making and even a chance to produce your own organic cosmetics. There will be talks in the luscious garden such as talks on keeping bees, where local beekeepers will be bringing wildflower and herb infused honey to taste. For foodies, because let’s face it we all love some good food, the fair will be serving up the very best artisan street food and beverages with Iced Sloe Gins and a Champagne bar on the lawns in front of Firle Place. “The food emporium” will be a host to an array of artisanal producers and specialty bakers, get your picnic hamper filled up here to enjoy at home, or with the family on this exciting weekend out.
The pavilion stage will be running a full line-up of foot stomping Swing Jazz bands, fabulous 1920s flapper dance troupes, Savoy Kicks, Gatsby Girls & Brighton Lindy Hop will be performing with a Whirl & Twirl on both days, amongst the latest fashion trends of handpicked vintage and Bespoke Couture. With enough on the agenda for this blast from the past to keep you satisfied this August, there’s something for everyone at Firle Vintage Fair.
