Local promoters Acid Box champion everything loud, dirty and daring from Brighton and the further reaches of the UK, handpicking acts from the solar system of psych, rock and garage and packing them into some of the city’s smallest and sweatiest venues.
This month, they are reaching further than ever before to bring you Vaadat Charigim, a three-piece creating big, dreamy shoegaze from their base in Tel Aviv, Israel. Despite singing entirely in Hebrew, the band’s heady sound has resonated throughout the Western world at SXSW and Austin Psych Fest, and has won them a deal with Burger Records. Combining the euphoria of Arcade Fire with the heavier roots of 80s and 90s Israeli rock, Vaadat Charigim should appeal to fans of Slowdive, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Ride.
Support will come from the dark and dreamy Munez, whose EP ‘Bunch Of Legend’ is set for release this November, and a dose of lo-fi guitar wizardry will be provided by Tuval & The Heights.
