Thursday 16th April sees Irish troubadour Andy White coming to Brighton and bringing his act to the Greys pub. This series of shows, which sees him tour venues across the UK, follows on from last year’s album How Things Are. As well as being hugely successful, How Things Are was also Andy’s 11th album to date – his first having been released back in 1986. From ’86 to now, Andy has developed a global following for his poet sensibility, and folk-pop stylings. One of Ireland’s most accomplished and respected songwriters he’s earned praise from sources such as the BBC and was called one of Ireland’s ‘best kept secrets’ by Mojo magazine.
Andy has worked with talents such as Sinead O’Connor and Van Morrison, studied at Cambridge, and travelled the world many times over. As such his title as an Irish Troubador is one where he’s fully paid his dues, and that Irish styling will be coming to Brighton tomorrow.
