The wonderful Anna Morris returns with ‘It’s Got To Be Perfect’. This brand new work-in-progress sees its first outing at Brighton Fringe, coming to The Quadrant, North Street, Brighton
Her brilliant comic creation, Georgina Francis (dubbed ‘Britain’s Worst Bride’ in the press), is getting married and you are invited to the wedding rehearsal. This viral YouTube star is determined to have THE perfect wedding, when she ties the knot at Edinburgh Castle with her long suffering fiancé, banker-turned-politician, Simon. So what better way to make sure everything goes smoothly than to rehearse as many times as possible, all over the UK, using an audience as fill-in guests?!
A multi-talented comedian, brilliant writer and versatile actress, Morris has written for The Paul O’Grady Show, Oops TV with Justin Lee Collins, One Minute Wonders with Dave Schneider, Man Stroke Woman and Newsrevue, as well as writing her own Fringe hits Daylords and Daylords Return with Beth Vyse, and her debut solo show Dolly Mixture, all of which had sell-out runs in London, Brighton and Glasgow. She also appeared in the Jermyn Street Theatre run of the hit comedy play Death Ship 666
Morris’ TV credits include playing opposite Hugh Dennis in BBC1’s Outnumbered and working with Graham Linehan on his sitcom Count Arthur Strong. The TV breakthrough came on ITV2’s Bad Bridesmaids, her improvised lines and hilarious self-penned wedding song encouraging bosses to give her two episodes.
Anna Morris: It’s Got To Be Perfect comes to The Quadrant, North Street, Brighton on Sat 2 – Sun 3, Sat 23 & Sat 30 May, 2015, as part of Brighton Fringe.
