BN1 recommends… Artist Open Houses 2019

Brighton’s Artist Open House Festival is back this Spring to display incredible artworks from creatives all over Brighton & Hove. We have collected a list of exhibitions you can visit free of charge over May.

Ruth returns to Brighton Artists Open House Festival for the second time. She is thrilled toalpine escapebe displaying work at this unique and very original venue around the 1940s art deco pool, at a private house in Hove. When she first saw the venue, she knew she had to just take the plunge and ask the owner if I could use the space for the festival! Pools are a theme she often visits in my work, and therefore couldn’t think of a more fitting location to show these new paintings.

‘Waterworld’ is open weekends 11/12, 18/19, 25/26 11am until 5pm Closed first weekend.

11/12, 18/19, 25/26 11AM until 5PM, 1 Courtyard Lane, Hove, BN3 4BP

Sara Le Roy

Newly opened, the Le Roy Art Gallery is the world’s first 3D Gallery and is a newcomer forLe Roy the Artists Open Houses 2019. Situated in a 3 storey 1780 fisherman’s cottage, the building restored back to its former glory is an ideal setting for Sara Le Roy’s darkly humorous fairy tale painting series ‘3D Tales’. Old school red/blue 3D glasses need to be worn to see the effect which allows visitors to explore through narrow corridors & stairs at their own pace, interacting with paintings in a whole new way.
