Since going into lockdown just over a week ago, some of Brighton’s famous faces are sharing what they’re getting up to while staying at home and documenting how they’re celebrating some big life events.
Spotting the odd famous face around Brighton is no surprise to local residents and attracts tourists from far and wide with the chance they might bump into a YouTube influencer or DJ in the North Lanes. Sadly, this is becoming a distant dream during lockdown. So to soften the blow, we’ve gathered together some of the content Brighton’s famous residents are creating to engage with fans and followers whilst staying at home.
First up is global YouTube sensation and girl next door Zoe Sugg, who is more widely recognised in the online world as Zoella. Zoe is renowned for her aesthetic home and lifestyle content and is sharing some tips during lockdown how to keep busy, such as sharing with her huge 9.4 million Instagram following how she’s cleaning and re-organising her home. As well as giving her home a spring clean, Zoe recently celebrated her 30th birthday in isolation with boyfriend and fellow YouTube superstar Alfie Deyes and shared her wholesome day at home with Alfie’s family via FaceTime.
Many of Brighton’s famous locals are promoting some of their featured content during isolation such as Fatboy Slim sharing a mixtape “for your stay at homes raves this weekend” on Instagram’s IGTV platform. Local comedian Angela Barnes has been sharing her weekly podcast with John O’farrell We Are History as well as announcing her engagement to her husband via Instagram and showcasing a unique concrete ring, ‘…because I don’t do dainty but I do bloody love concrete’.
Finally, famous crime writer Peter James has also been promoting his feature on a small podcast Action-Packed Travel this week discussing his new and upcoming crime book Find them Dead set to be released on May 14th.
