Back by enormously popular demand, the Brighton Tattoo Convention will be hosting its 10th anniversary event at Brighton Centre in May. Tattoo enthusiasts from around the globe will congregate for this unmissable event. It’ll see over 300 British and International artists joining together to grace our seaside city with a showcase of their extraordinary creative talents.
From its beginning up at Brighton Racecourse 10 years ago, Brighton Tattoo Convention has proudly evolved into one of the world’s most prestigious tattoo events, attracting more than 6,000 attendees in 2016. This year’s convention will transform Brighton Centre into a bustling tattoo paradise. Attendees will be able to beat the waiting lists and have artwork at the event, benefiting from scores of independent tattoo artists and retailers, workshops and exhibitions, live music and so much more. Also taking the stage on both days are ‘The Trip Out’, a collective showcasing their fascinating chopper exhibition – an absolute must for any motorcycle, hot rod or custom fan! And of course, very special DJs performing late into the night to pair the perfect party soundtrack to your Tattoo Convention experience.
But this isn’t just a tattoo showcase – Paul Hewitt and his internationally acclaimed band of AONO Brighton barbers will be returning to Brighton Tattoo Convention for their fourth year running. AONO, London Road’s tattoo/streetwear/coffee/barbershop clearly hits all the bases – and they’re excited to bring their work to Brighton Centre next month. The Barber Expo will welcome creative and talented barbers flying in from all over the globe. Here visitors can watch them showcase their skills, ask questions or just hang out. ‘Bringing traditional barbering into the modern world’, their pop-up barbershop will also host Q&A’s, product stands and DJs. Just a few of the world’s most respected barbers joining Hewitt will be Shane Nesbitt from San Francisco, La Shaperie from Paris, and Khalil Malamug from New Jersey. This is guaranteed to be something truly special.
The 10th Anniversary Edition of the Brighton Tattoo Convention comes to Brighton Centre on Sat 13 – Sun 14 May 2017. Tickets are priced at £25 for the day or £40 for the full weekend (booking fees included).
