Broker this Saturday at BLEACH

Circling some of Brighton’s favourite venues for the past five years, Broker have steadily become a solid staple on the city’s alternative music scene, their parade of experimental hardcore standing out clearly in a sea of indie-folk and dream-pop.

Since releasing their debut full-length album, Argument/Counter Argument last year, the band have been relatively “off-the-grid”, that is until collaborating on a live session with Brighton-based label, Small Pond Records, earlier this month.

And now, the two are due to work together once again, bringing a matured, melodically-refined edition of their famed semi-epics to London Road’s BLEACH for a night with some of the best from the label.

Live From The Pond #18 is kicking off at the upstairs venue of Hare & Hounds on Sat 14 Nov, with a packed showcase of some of the best up-and-comers on Brighton’s effervescent music platform today.

Playing alongside Broker are InTechnicolour, a new band comprising members of The Physics House Band, Delta Sleep & Calico (for those in the know), boasting echoes of early Queens of the Stone Age. Scrappy Leeds favourites Bearfoot Beware take the opener, promising endless energy fresh from the release of their second album. And finally, loud Moodhoover join the line-up, bouncing onto our radars after playing a headline slot at the Green Door Store back in August.

Despite a last-minute drop out from the now-defunct Bovine, Small Pond Records has pulled out all stops to make sure it’s a brilliant night.

Small Pond proudly presents Live From The Pond #18 at BLEACH, 71 London Road, BN1 4JF on Sat 14 Nov at 7.30pm.

Tickets £3.50 advance at www.wegottickets.com/event/329392, or £4 OTD.
