Eastbourne Extreme, the South Coast’s coolest, free extreme sports festival returns to Eastbourne’s eastern seafront on Sat 12 – Sun 13 July. It’s your chance to get involved in a weekend of extreme sports, with a fantastic line-up of land, sea and air based outdoor pursuits – time to get your adrenaline pumping!

A brand new World Slalom Series event comes to Extreme this year, seeing skaters from all over coming to ‘Battle Extreme’. Hosted by Skate World C.I.C and Eastbourne Skating Club, this is one of just two World Slalom Series events being held in the UK this year. Two of Eastbourne’s young skaters will be competing in ‘Battle Extreme’ with the hope of winning enough points to allow them the chance to represent Great Britain in Paris later this year.

Don’t miss out on the Inspire Shows Bike Tour which sees a team of world class professionals, with over a decade of experience, perform a unique display of BMX bike stunts which are sure to impress.

More skating favourites such as roller hockey and street skating will be making a welcomed return with the programme organised by Skate World, Eastbourne Skating Club and Eastbourne Sk8 School. Whether you’re a newbie or an expert skater there will be something for you and many a demo and trick to marvel at.
More action can be seen from the Bourne Bombshells, Eastbourne’s local roller derby team who will again be hosting the UK’s only free outdoor tournament. Expect some hard hitting roller derby action with full contact skating.
The VW Bus Stop festival returns, featuring classic and retro VW’s on display, and a brand new cross fitness event joins the programme as ‘Beach Bourne’.

Also joining the exciting two-day programme of events, visitors can enjoy the zorb-arena, big bag jump, martial arts, pole dancing, windsurfing, paddle boarding and the new Hasbro Nerf Elite Vault which gives you the chance to trial the top secret new blaster!

Football fans don’t even have to worry about missing out on the FIFA World Cup as all the action from the 3rd place play-off and final will be shown live on a big screen!
There will be even more entertainment in the form of live music from the Beach Stage with 5 bands performing each day including Emperor The Stag, Dub N Tuff, The Piercings and Master Kush’s Circus.

The skating fun continues on into the evening on Saturday with a roller disco after party taking place at the Redoubt Fortress.
