Komedia continues to house the most prestigious acts at the forefront of the upcoming comedy scene with a selection of Edinburgh Fringe previews coming next month.
Acting as a cultural hub for the UK’s most sought-after acts, this June the intensely popular entertainment venue will begin hosting Brighton’s Edinburgh Fringe previews – allowing Brightonians the chance to catch a first glance at the mind-blowing talent heading towards the Edinburgh Fringe festival this August.
Discover how BAFTA-award winning actor and comedian Jim Tavaré took a trip to the corner-store that changed his live forever in Deadpan To Bedpan – a stand up extravaganza involving one comedian, one dog and one DIY disaster. See Seann Walsh return with brand new hour The Lie-In King, splitting the bill with Twitter-comedian-turned-stand-up star Jake Lambert. Join double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Kieran Hodgson presenting a hilarious and ill-advised new hour all centered on his needless and self-serving quest to explain the historical roots of Brexit. Whatever your comedic disposition, there’ll surely be a merry comedian on hand to deliver gut-busting laughs.
Boasting over thirty split-bill shows, roughly sixty comedians will descend upon Komedia starting Sat 16 Jun to Weds 1 Aug. Featuring ‘as seen on TV’ stars, as well as a range of brand new up-and-coming comedy names – from Chortle Best Newcomer Nominee Jayde Adams to Live At The Apollo’s Zoe Lyons. No matter your preference for satirical storytelling, there’s a brimming roster of newcomers and seasoned comics all with uniquely hilarious stories to tell. Komedia is committed to nurturing up and coming comedy talent so be sure to pop down this summer and you might just catch the next big thing – and never for more than eight pounds a ticket!
