Brighton resident Fatboy Slim has released a Rocky-inspired video of him in training for his Friday night headline spot at WILD LIFE Festival, the event created by Disclosure and Rudimental in 2015.
WILD LIFE Festival will take place at Brighton City Airport on Fri 9 – Sat 10 June, tickets are available from www.wildlifefestival.co
The video features Fatboy Slim running from his home, passing some of Brighton’s most famous landmarks before finishing his training on the grounds of Brighton City Airport, where WILD LIFE Festival 2017 will take place.
Local hero Fatboy Slim (real name Norman Cook) will be headlining WILD LIFE for the first time this year. ‘Where you iz’, his latest single, had over 500,000 Spotify streams and has been remixed by Chocolate Puma & Eats Everything. Named by Q Magazine as one of ‘50 Bands to See Before You Die’ and with ten MTV VMAs and two BRIT Awards to date, Fatboy Slim’s Friday night slot at WILD LIFE is not to be missed.
Training alongside Fatboy Slim in the footage are Shoreham Allstars, a unique collective of young and emerging talent from Brighton, who will be returning for their third year with ‘The Allstars 918 Stage’, featuring over 100 young musicians aged 9 18 years old. A unique collective of musicians, since their first gig in 2008 Shoreham Allstars have been breaking new ground with how young musicians experience music live, in rehearsal rooms and in the studio. With a mobile stage, over 100 original songs archived and 240 gigs played as part of their unique all-year-round gig programme, the collective gives young musicians the very best introduction to the many facets of music. ‘WILD LIFE is one of the highlights of the Allstars’ calendar and it is fantastic to be invited to play there again,” says David O’Connell, manager of the Shoreham Allstars. “It’s a unique experience for the kids to be part of it all and is something they’ll never forget. Bring it on!’
Wildlife festival comes to Brighton City Airport, Shoreham, on Fri 9 – Sat 10 June 2017.
