Film, music and art combine for a night of noir at The Joker

Some of Brighton’s darkest artists will come together this Thursday for a celebration of all things noir. Indie Noir is an evening of music, film and art, which will take place at The Joker.

The event will be hosted by Brighton music scene stalwart Mishkin Fitzgerald, who will also be topping the bill with her band Birdeatsbaby. Drawing comparisons to Marilyn Manson and Dresden Dolls and inspired by the likes of Muse, the gothic four piece play alternative punk rock with a classical twist, which will be a fitting finale to the evening.

Warming you up, however, will be dark folk artist Della Lupa. The project of Steph Brown, Della Lupa offer an enticing blend of styles inspired by Brown’s Italian and Vietnamese heritage.

Theatrical cabaret duo Flora Greysteel and the blues, rock and grunge-inspired Wolf Like Child will also be performing, alongside a stunning art exhibition from tattoo artist Odie Dolayme.

Don’t miss out on this special event, because as Indie Noir say, noir is the new black.
