Free hearing screenings coming to Pavilion Gardens

September is Hearing Awareness Month. Hearing loss affects 1 people in 6, meaning almost 26,000 people living in the Brighton & Hove area are affected. To highlight the issue of hearing loos, high street retailer Hidden Hearing is holding a free lunchtime concert at Pavilion Gardens, on Tues 15 Sept.

The UK’s largest contemporary choir, Rock Choir, will be reminding everyone of the pleasure music brings to our lives and the importance of looking after our hearing to be able to experience the joys of music. East Sussex has been recognised as the UK’s 2nd most musical area, so Dr Hilary Jones will present the Mayor with an award on behalf of the county at the event.

Free hearing screenings will be carried out using the mobile hearing unit at concert site. A donation of £1 per every hearing test will be donated to charity Music and the Deaf who offer musical opportunities to children and adults who live with any degree of hearing loss. For anyone unable to make the ebent, this service can be accessed throughout September’s Hearing Awareness Month by calling Hidden Hearing on 0800 037 2060 and quoting HAHT0915, or by visiting www.hiddenhearing.co.uk

The Hidden Hearing Musical Tour comes to Brighton’s Pavilion Gardens on Tue 15 Sept, 2015.
