Fright Festival returns this Halloween!

A sell-out last year, Fright Festival promises a unique combination of feel-good festival vibes and Halloween scare factor at one of Brighton’s most iconic locations. 5000 plus party-goers will see Fright Festival transform the usually well-to-do Brighton racecourse into a phantasmic phenomenon that will simultaneously terrify and excite the senses.

A predominantly electronic line-up will feature, with three stages showcasing the nation’s best in Bass, Grime, Drum n’ Bass and House/Techno. Supercharged, one of Brighton’s best and longest-running underground club nights takes charge of Fright Festival’s main stage with the likes of Chase and Status as their headliner act. Hospitality, a worldwide DnB club night, hosts the aptly named ‘Rave Cave’, where Camo & Crooked and Friction will take centre stage. Meanwhile Brighton’s very own DPM brings a variety of local and national talent to Fright Festival’s Haunted House, with Route 94 having been just announced as their headliner act. As well as this astonishing assortment of DJs, the festival will play host to an array of nail biting and knuckle-clenching attractions with actors and performers attempting to scare the crowd out of their wits at every opportunity. A funfair, more than double the size of last year, also features while abandoned cars and burnt out stuff will despoil the usually picturesque surroundings of the Sussex Downs, culminating in a visually spectacular setting conducive to fear and fun all at the same time.

Food stalls from local Brighton businesses adds a community feel to the event, providing some much needed sustenance to line those stomachs in the midst of such a physical, mental and visual overload of Halloween horror: expect hauntingly delicious hog roasts and other freakish festival food.

Fright Festival runs from 12pm- 3am, allowing the truly committed Halloween partygoers an all-day and night affair. Costumes last year ranged from the utterly terrifying to the truly bizarre, as the crowd revelled in an array of outfits all finished off with the mandatory splash of fake (we hope) blood. All that’s really left to say is get down to the costume shop, sort some scary make-up and prepare yourselves more tricks and treats than ever before. First release tickets have sold out so make sure to grab a standard ticket before they go too.
