Gin tasting at Hotel Du Vin this April

Gin is on the up in the UK at the moment, with new micro-distilleries opening up seemingly every month in the UK, including our very own Brighton Gin. If you’re looking to dig a little deeper into this botanical spirits history then Sussex Wine School have the event for you, with their gin tasting at Brighton’s Hotel Du Vin on April 26.

In this fascinating two hour tasting you’ll discover the origins of this special spirit including where it was first made, which country drinks the most of it (it’s not where you think) and what styles of gin are available today.

Throughout the tasting session you’ll be taking a look at (and smelling) a range of delicious botanicals, tasting six gins from London, Edinburgh, Surrey, Dorset and of course Brighton, alongside four tasty tonic waters including Schweppes, Fentimans, Fevertree and Brighton’s very own Regency Tonic.

The gins you’ll be tasting include:

Brilliant London Dry Gin 43% // Sipsmith London Dry Gin 41.6% // Pickerings Gin 42% // Silent Pool Gin 43% // Conker Dorset Dry Gin 40% // Brighton Gin 40%
