Dreamland, the monthly film strand at Brighton’s Emporium theatre, is going Italian for December. Inferno is Giallo maestro Dario Argento’s loose sequel to Suspiria. This Italian supernatural horror film stars Irene Miracle, Leigh McCloskey, Eleonora Giorgi, Daria Nicolodi and Alida Valli. The striking cinematography is by Romano Albani, whilst Keith Emerson composed the film’s thunderous musical score.
Unlike its predecessor, Inferno saw a very limited theatrical release. Its reputation has grown over the years, becoming recognised as one of the most underrated horror movie of the 80s. The story concerns a young man’s investigation into the disappearance of his sister, who had been living in a New York City apartment building which also served as a home for a powerful, centuries-old witch.
Advance tickets are just £5.
Inferno comes to Brighton’s Emporium on Fri 18 Dec, 2015
