“INTRODUCTION”: THE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ARTWORK OF DAVID APPS EXHIBITION
FRI 27 JUNE- SUN 13 JULY
WAITING ROOM GALLERY
For those wanting to find their a moment of contemplation amongst the tanoys, bustling and noiseness of Brighton Station this exhibition may be their chance. Situated in the unique location of the railway station “Introduction” is the Waiting Room Galleries opening exhibition.
This is David Apps’ debut Brighton display and his work is dark, angelic, evocative, kitsch, very vibrant, very British and very ‘now’. Often subversive, reflecting his influences of Jamie Reid, his artwork re-works original photographs to create contemporary and striking works of art.
App moved to Hove in April 2014 to be further inspired by the South East coast and the vibrant City of Brighton.
With affordable and attractive works this promises to be an exciting Brighton début for this established artist.
