JING’s Massage and Yoga charity festival is happening next Friday, July 19th from 10:00-19:00 in Brighton’s central Jubilee Square to raise money for RISE.
RISE are celebrating 25 years providing vital services to those affected by domestic abuse in Brighton and Hove.
Green MP Caroline Lucas and Brighton and Hove Mayor, Alexandra Phillips are getting involved and will also be speaking and offering a Q+A.
There will be over 100 massages and 7 yoga, movement and meditation classes, donated by the UK’s best clinical massage therapists and yoga movement teachers. Jing has high hopes of raising thousands for RISE with the help of Brighton’s community.
Jo Gough, CEO of RISE is celebrating the event:
“We’re really pleased to have been chosen by Jing for their huge and unique fundraiser: JING in Jubilee Square, massage and yoga marathon, where you can treat yourself this summer with self-care that’ll make a difference. All the proceeds from the day will generously go to RISE and will go a long way to support our helpline, refuge and counselling services.”
This dynamic, different and fun 1-day festival is open and inclusive to everyone. It is focused on nurturing and celebrating Brighton’s healthy heart and soul.
There will be various activities such as hula hooping, face painting for the kids, a range of classes from dynamic vinyasa, hatha and children’s yoga classes, Qigong and mindfulness. At the center of it all; massage treatments offered for all types of conditions from relaxation to dealing with serious pain conditions.
Full consultations will be available to each individual so massages will be specific to everyone’s needs. A special massage tent has been designed to give you a beautiful experience outside whilst giving you privacy.
“Bring your child or your grandparents, there’s something for everyone!” says JING Director Meghan S. Mari.
The recommended donation for a one-hour clinical massage is £30-£60. For classes it is £5-£15.
