For those of you who can’t wait to start planning your May diary, Komedia will be announcing its jam-packed programme on Tue 17 Feb. This is two days before Brighton Festival, and two weeks ahead of Brighton Fringe, announcing their May schedule.

Brighton’s most welcoming year-round venue, Komedia will once again host a month of the very best cabaret, comedy and music acts from the UK. This May will also see a record number of shows for children and families. The whole programme will be available to view and book via Komedia’s website from 10am on Tue 17 Feb. All the shows form part of 2015’s Brighton Fringe, tickets for which go on general sale on Wed 4 Mar.

“There is always so much to choose from once the Festival and Fringe go on sale,” Colin Granger, cofounder of Komedia, said. “So we thought we’d give people a head start on deciding what to book for by putting our shows online and on sale a bit earlier. We have to get events confirmed by the end of January and, as ever, we’re excited to share it with the world so we thought why wait?”

Highlights in May include new shows from Patrick Monahan, Zoe Lyons and Tom Deacon, whilst festival newcomers Lili la Scala, The Kagools (pictured) and Miss Glory Pearl are a few of the acts set to appear in the venue’s intimate Studio. Komedia’s festival season programme would not be complete without their well-loved favourites so you can also expect to see appearances from John Hegley, Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer and Sarah Jane Morris.

Having seen the family section of Brighton Fringe grow over the last few years, Komedia has continued their commitment to ensuring there is something for everyone to see. There are a host of children’s shows throughout the month, not least, the ever popular Comedy Club 4 Kids, Mrs McMoon’s Tea Party, and Goldifox but also Komedia’s very own production of Pitschi, The Kitten with Dreams which did fantastically well at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014 and is now touring nationally.

Komedia Brighton launches their May programme at 10am, on Tue 17 Feb 2015
