Legal & General Retirement has just announced it is again sponsoring one of the country’s largest celebrations of digital technology and culture this month – the Brighton Digital Festival.
As part of this, Legal & General will be hosting the Big Digital Fair, an event which will bring together digital businesses, artists and exhibitions under one roof to showcase their individual interactions with the digital realm.
The full programme at the Brighton Digital Festival will include workshops, talks and exhibitions and will see Legal & General showcasing ground-breaking technology projects, such as face motion technology and Raspberry PI, the democratising credit card-sized computer. Attendees will also have the chance to take part in various ‘hackathons’ to demonstrate their own digital skills.
Brighton is a key employment area for Legal & General, with two office buildings in Hove, staffed by nearly 2,000 employees. It is hoped that this event will help raise awareness of its position as a major local employer and support the recruitment of future digital talent into the business in both Hove and London.
Legal & General uses high-quality digital solutions to make its employees’ and customers’ lives easier. Digitalisation is currently a key movement across a number of sectors including financial services, and as with most companies today, it is a critical part of Legal & General’s future success.
The Festival runs from Fri 11 – Fri 25 Oct and is a great opportunity for all those interested in the interplay of technology and society to hear about the latest developments and to network with likeminded individuals and businesses.
“At Legal & General, technology is embedded into everything we do,” says Philip Anderson, Chief Operating Officer for Legal & General Retirement. “We recognise the value digital solutions can have when it comes to transforming our customer and employee experiences and are excited about what impact future innovations will have on our business and society as a whole.
“Brighton Digital Festival is an excellent and important event and we are pleased to be involved again this year. We look forward to meeting as many people as possible at this celebration of technology and the digital world. It is also a particularly good opportunity for us to attract and nurture talented people who are as enthused about digital ways of working as we are.”
Brighton Digital Festival comes to venues across Brighton & Hove on Fri 11 – Fri 25 Oct 2019.
