As if there weren’t enough home and gift shop displays to leave you gawking through the windows already, Little Deer is set to showcase a range of goodies designed, handmade and curated in Brighton & Hove in their two-week pop-up on Western Road.
The handmade extravaganza launches on Thurs 5 Jul at 5.30pm at 133 Western Road and runs until Weds 18 Jul, housing a selection of products from Little Deer, Glasshouse and Kalee Jones Studio to meet all your furniture and homeware needs. A complimentary glass of champagne will be offered to guests on the opening night and shoppers will be given the opportunity to meet the makers as they browse.
For a company that started out selling vintage and handmade clothing from the bedroom of a design photography student, the Little Deer displays an impressive selection of copper clothing rails, industrial furniture and retail fittings.
Owner Jade Golding was first inspired to alter the direction of her business at Secret Garden Party Festival after knocking together the first Original Copper Clothing Rail with her Dad to display products.
Having received a lot of interest in the unique rail, she started selling the product on her Etsy shop and created some new designs. The rest, they say, is history and her workshop now consists of a small team of four.
Fiona Thomson, owner of Glasshouse, creates all of her stunning designs herself. Jewellery, terrariums, mirrors and other quirky items are made using the copper foil stained glass technique, to dazzling effect. Botanical and geometric themes run through the designs.
Kalee Jones on the other hand, plays with a mature colour palette to create striking framed prints, homewares and wall clocks. In March her amber clock made it on to the Pinterest UK Interiors Award shortlist for Best Product.
Attend the Little Deer Pop-Up Shop launch on Thurs 5 Jul at 5.30pm at 133 Western Road, or visit until 18 Jul.
