Lovebox announce first wave of 2017 lineup

If only everyone’s 15th birthday was as exciting as this! Lovebox return in July with their most explosive line up to date to celebrate their milestone.

Previously announced headliner Frank Ocean is joined by the crème de la crème of musical talent: Saturday’s headline act Chase and Status, Jamie XX, Jess Glynne, Solange, Annie Mac, Andy C, Kurupt FM, AJ Tracey, Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler. There are even more acts to be announced.

Chase and Status are one of the UK’s best live acts with people flocking from around the country to any set they are playing. Whether they’re storming through classics from their 2008 debut More Than Alot album or the bestselling homage to 90’s dance, Brand New Machine. Expect new material, a brand new show and special guests for what is sure to be a headline set to remember.

Opening for Ocean on the Friday will be Jamie xx, one of the hottest producers on the planet. He is responsible for In Colour, the debut album that has been the soundtrack to summer since its birth in 2015. Having recently released a new album with his band The xx, Jamie shows no signs of stopping.

Following their rocky year fighting closure after licensing problems, fabric are back bigger and better than ever. After being reignited after public outcry from the global music community, they have brought you a line up not to be beaten. Global DJ superstar Seth Troxler will take the Friday headlining spot following a set of obscure anthems and club classics from Bicep. Other performances will come from experimental producer KiNK, disco master Hammer and fabric resident Terry Francis.

It’s not just the performances that have stepped up this year, the stages have grown. The Transistor stage will resemble a giant radio set featuring explosive flame pyros, providing a home for deep house promoters Abode and their heavyweight line-up.

Aside from the incredible line up, Lovebox will also play host to its trademark assortment of eclectic experiences to discover, including street food stalls, fashion and beauty boutiques and more surprises.

More is still to be announced for the festival that will return to Victoria Park in Tower Hamlets on Fri 14 – Sat 15 July.
