Kathryn Green brings her capsule collections of luxury scarves and art textile pieces, which use a series of shibori and print processes to create layers of colour and texture within each unique piece of work, while Hattie McGill Embroidery offers three dimensional interior pieces and fashion accessories and specialises in the embroidery techniques of stumpwork and goldwork.
Joining this is Intricate jewellery by Charlie Leftley who take inspiration from microscopic cell structure and natural formations, as well as incredible one-off embroideries by Linda Miller using a distinctive and unique style. She creates rich, colourful, naive and humorous embroideries containing figures and animals set in the outdoors, always smiling and usually depicted within a story. inspiration for her work is gathered from the world around her.
A stunning late Victorian Byzantine inspired landmark set back from London Road, St Bartholomew’s Church is the tallest parish church in Europe.
Made Brighton will be utilising the spacious main body of the church to show the work of around sixty makers, exhibiting a wide variety of original work; jewellery, knitwear, ceramics, wood, print, silversmithing, textiles, clothes, toys and plenty more. There will also be 200 metres of festoon lights illuminating the nave as well as the exhibitors’ own lighting, which set the scene for a truly magical festive event.
