Ever had a secret yearning to downward dog to Snoop Dogg? Hero poses to Michael Jackson? Do you sit trying to meditate but wish your instructor would just kick back and play some great music to dance to instead? Well, namaste, yoga lovers – Nine Lives are set to bring their Yoga Rave to The City of Brighton & Hove on Sat 30 Jul for a night where music and yoga unite.
Headed by Cat Duval, Nine Lives Yoga Rave has been on tour throughout the UK and Europe, killing it at festivals with her team of gifted yogi. After appearances at Wilderness, Summer Love and Movement Arts in Oslo, they’re now back in their hometown, bringing fun, prana and laughter of the masses to All Saints’ Church on the last Saturday of the month.
From 6-10pm, expect to see the beautiful gothic church transformed – with bespoke UV mandala backdrops and pumping bass. Get your face and body painted to match, adorning yourself with UV available on the night, before setting out on your mat, where you’ll experience healing frequencies and shamanic music melded with techno and house. This night is all about the celebration of life, breath and connection between 300 yoga lovers through vinyasa flow and ecstatic dance.
Whether you’re a hardcore yogi or new to the practice… It’s going to be big. It’s going to be loud. And you’re going to sweat.
Dress for the future of rave and bring your friends and favourite mat for a night of yoga, music and unity. Hit the beach afterwards for reflection and/or more partying.
Tickets £25 (or £30 on the door on the night, but they’re expected to sell out). Find them here
