Bringing a Parisian-inspired eating experience to Hove’s Third Avenue, Oeuf Café opens in Oct 2020

Opening Thurs 1 Oct, Oeuf Café is a brand-new Parisian-style, independently owned café, bar and kitchen. It will offer the perfect balance between opulence and a friendly ‘home away from home’ atmosphere, aiming to make its customers feel important while eating their eggs and a mimosa, or two!

Located at No. 8, Third Avenue in Hove (formally Planet India), the site has been completely redesigned, restored and renovated by the owner, Amber Sterck, and her team. The site also offers an on-site Florist, a ‘grab and go’ coffee and food station at the front, a wine and cocktail lounge, plenty of COVID-friendly seating, and a delightful secret garden where guests can enjoy brunch, locally-sourced eco-friendly coffee, or a few cocktails.

“I’m hugely excited to be opening Oeuf this autumn, as it fits our brand perfectly,” said Sterck. “I’ve worked in hospitality all my adult life, and it’s always been a dream to own and run my own café & bar in Hove. I was put on furlough in March 2020, and with my immediate future uncertain, I decided now was the best time to put all my eggs in one basket and open Oeuf Café.”

Boasting a locally and sustainably sourced menu, beginning service at 9am and serving through to 5pm, Oeuf Café offers classic yet glamorous breakfasts / brunches, healthy smoothie bowls, and Moroccan-inspired skillets, all with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Full menu to be announced soon. “Opening a new Cafe & Bar during a global pandemic has been extremely challenging, but our large interior space and garden allows us to safely serve our customers while safely adhering to social distancing measures.”

Oeuf Cafe & Bar will be open to the public from 8.30am on Thurs 1 Oct 2020, at No. 8, Third Avenue, Hove BN3 2PB For enquiries, bookings and reservations please contact Oeuf Café on 01273 945885 or [email protected]
