The world’s biggest charity beach festival came to Hove Lawns on Sat 4 – Sun 5 July 2015. Over 50,000 visitors converged on the city seafront, to celebrate all things sport and beach lifestyle related.

This award winning event offered three music stages, restaurants, bars, and a plethora of have-a-go sessions on land and sea for all to try. On offer were skateboard ramps, land paddle racing, the UK Slalom Skate Championships, SLSGB Surf Lifesaving competitions, beach volleyball and beach tennis, stand up paddle-boarding and ocean skiing. The biggest crowd pleaser (as always) was Sunday’s “Paddle Something Unusual”, which once again saw a number of magnificently engineered, and not so buoyant, creations take to the water. So BN1’s David Smith was there to capture all the action.
