With roots as a small street party started by the LGBT and local business community, Kemp Town’s Pride celebrations have grown to epic proportions.
Pride Brighton & Hove have are now working with Brighton & Hove City Council to ensure the event remains a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
Now there’s two days of fabulous community celebrations in this new fundraising event.
With help from local businesses, acknowledging the needs of local residents and and-raising much needed funds for The Rainbow Fund, the Pride Village Party is ready to complete Brighton’s Pride weekend.
The Pride Village Party is also getting bigger, with the event extending to the seafront. Marine Parade will be closed to traffic for the event, creating a larger party for everyone to enjoy.
The new Pride Village Party runs 6pm – 12.30am, Sat 2 Aug, after the Preston Park festival.
Pledge bands, or residents access bands, are required for entry to the secure zone during party hours and to purchase alcohol in venues and outlets on Sat 4pm – 12.30am and Sun 2pm – 8pm. In addition, no alcohol can be brought into the secure zone during party hours.
Village Party Pledgebands may be purchased from supporting Brighton outlets, through the Pride website, from the Pride Welcome Centre or the box office INSIDE Preston Park on Sat.
Brighton Pride’s Village Party takes place on 4pm – 12.30am, Sat 2 Aug and 2pm – 8pm, Sun 3 Aug, 2014
