Struggling to find that perfect spot to spend these hot summer evenings? Fancy an exciting alternative to the post-work pub? Well look no further! Brighton Racecourse has ramped up it’s event schedule this summer with some fantastic live music and of course, lots of racing events.

BN1 attended one of Brighton Racecourse’s recent Sunset Sessions, one of the first summer events held at the racecourse and it didn’t disappoint. With seven races, spanning several hours, the Sunset Session was the ideal way to spend an otherwise casual Tuesday evening. Why not start your night off with a glass of prosecco or two until you’re sufficiently sauced enough to start gambling? From there it’s anyone’s game and believe us when we say, you don’t need to be an expert to pick a winner.

When it comes to horse racing, don’t miss the Festival of Racing from 7-9 Aug, this three-day event is the Brighton’s biggest summer race meeting. Put on something smart and get on down for a mid-week bonanza of drinks, bets and some fantastic horse racing! The racecourse is even providing transport from Brighton station and back, so no need to worry about getting home.

Racing aside, there are some awesome musical acts coming to the racecourse this July. BN1 featured – The Doves are playing on 26 Jul and Rag N Bone Man will follow up on 27 Jul, two gigs that are definitely not to be missed!

Whether it’s racing, music or simply chilling that floats your boat, don’t forget to check out the Brighton Racecourse for events this summer! See their website www.brighton-racecourse.co.uk for all event and ticket details.
