Building on five years’ experience in running world class ‘conscious’, community based events in one of London’s largest club venues, and over three years’ experience of running a successful youth and community centre in Camberwell South London, The Synergy Centre has recently taken on an interim lease on a large disused venue on Brighton’s West Street (formerly HedKandi).
As a registered community charity, Brighton’s new Synergy Centre will be community focused in the daytime, collaborating with local charitable organisations to run events and workshops. In the evening, they will be promoting some of the best local and national alternative music. Brighton Synergy Centre aims to harness the power of creative media to raise awareness of sustainable, ethical and ‘conscious’ lifestyles.
Brighton Synergy Centre will be celebrating their launch on 3-4 July. The opening night will feature workshops and performances by Dreadzone and Mixmaster Morris. The launch weekend continues on the Saturday with festival legends Seize the Day, local rising star Jacko Hooper, and Kakatsitsi, Master Drummers from Ghana.
Get down to Brighton Synergy Centre, West Street this weekend for a chance to experience some of the great workshops and performances they have planned. Weekend tickets are £12.50.
