Peaky Blinders New Year’s Eve
PROUD COUNTRY HOUSE
Proud Country House invites you to don your best flat-caps, furs and pearls for a show-stopping Peaky Blinders party to bring in the New Year. Sharp attire very much required. The dress code is ‘dress to impress’ in your Peaky Blinders style or 1920’s Cabaret.
This elegant gangster underworld will commence with 60 minutes of bottomless prosecco to get revellers in to the party spirit, all served alongside a New Year’s Eve-worthy spread. The party will then unfold from room to room, with each area playing host to its own individual delights with 1920s cabaret, heady gambling dens, and three DJ’s playing a mix of retro classics, acid jazz and modern party hits. The evening will be hosted by the bombastic cabaret icon Veronica Blacklace who will ensure all inhibitions are left at the door.
After all of that there’ll be free buses at 1am, 2am and 3am to take you back to the centre of Brighton making your evening a breeze. So, head to Proud’s last mansion party of the year for a rip-roaring night of music, entertainment and questionable morals.

The cosiest NYE event anywhere will be found in the centre of Ditchling this year. After already winning Great British Pub of the Year Award 2016, The Bull has undergone a £1m renovation and expansion project, offering stunning interiors and bedrooms along with new restaurant and kitchen. This year DJ Danny Montuschi returns from his summer Balearic beats sessions to be on the decks for the night. Tickets are £25 including canapés and a welcome drink, or £65 including supper when booking a table in the dining room.
All profits from the event will be donated between good causes, including Brighton Charity – Amaze (www.amazebrighton.org.uk) – who support families of children and young people with disabilities.
A modern pub with plenty of tradition, The Bull is one of the oldest buildings in Ditchling dating back to the early 16th Century. This an AA 5 star-rated inn has won countless awards for excellence in food and service.
Owners Dominic and Vanessa Worrall have re-invented this very British pub in 2003 and alongside Molly Raftery they have created a space with a warm and vibrant atmosphere at the foot of the South Downs.
Running 8pm – 5am, Brighton’s most forward-thinking nightclub will be doing New Year’s Eve in style. Our much-loved seaside town doesn’t quite look the same come December, despite a certain festive charm, the seafront is laid bare to the grips of nature, as gale force winds and fierce tides batter the shoreline but, looks side, the cities energetic and colourful culture thrives indoors, yes it’s still nothing on a Brighton summer, right? So, for this year’s party Patterns are bringing the HEAT indoors.
One of the UK’s most talented musicians, an all-around traverser of sounds and a firm venue favourite, Romare will be heading up the midnight slot, followed by a long-awaited club-room debut from Apron Records boss Steven Julien AKA Funkineven. Either side we have Mr Bongo simmering the room from doors open, with trusty residents Charles Green and Mehtola on deck for the concluding slot. Expect the basement bars to be overgrown with lush shades of jade and lights down low to a deep-red glow…
Upstairs in the ‘hothouse’ get rapt in an immersive transformation of the bar. Patterns will be altering the space into a winter garden with tropical décor, ice-cold cocktails and lots and lots of greenery. Here, their resident ensemble will be holding down the floor with an unmissable soundtrack from 8 PM onwards.
The dress code is to dress down, it’s going to be hot and there will most probably be some house…

There are just 90 covers and these are expected to disappear very quickly! As ever, White Mink will be bringing the sounds and style of the 1920s and 30s to the party, turning them upside down and smuggling them into… well, next year at the very least.
