Gourmet Girls Pop Up @ Fanny’s of Hanover
Brighton’s very own Gourmet Girls are back this year with their highly successful pop up restaurant at Fanny’s of Hanover. Following last year’s popularity, the founders of Titbits Catering and the Gourmet Girls themselves, Paula Young and Sammy Gills, will be back cooking up a wide assortment of cuisines for the good people of Brighton. Both women are trained vegan/ vegetarian chefs and will be creating a variety of plant based dishes from places such as Japan, America and North Africa! It Is What It Is
Rather ambiguously named, It Is What It Is is a unique project helping start-ups for free by providing commission free shop space The pop up shop will change every week giving many 16-25 year olds the opportunity to kickstart their business. If you fancy checking out who’s running the pop up shop this week, get down to Gloucester Road, North Laines. Pop up Campsites Brighton site promises a relaxing weekend in a stunning location. This campsite, which only exists from May to September, can be found on the beautiful Bevendean Farm and offers pitched and unpitched tents. Fancy a spot of added luxury? Brighton’s pop up site not only offers pre-constructed tents, but also provides tents furnished with queen size air beds, carpets, lighting and bunting! Brighton’s pop up campsite offers a unique experience, and great opportunity to enjoy the countryside around Brighton!
Picture House Pop Up
This summer the cinema is being taken outside with Picture House Pop Up. Having started in June, Picture House Pop Up has already screened Ghostbusters, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Gravity at Saltdean Lido. However, there is much more to come in the form of Raiders of The Lost Ark, Some Like it Hot, Thelma & Louise, Whiplash and many more in various venues across Brighton. Screenings will take place around 9pm (or as soon as it becomes dark!) and tickets are £10.
Found at Seven Dials, Polygon Pop-Up creates and hosts temporary pop-up spaces and events for small businesses, community projects and creative industry. Running throughout June, July and August, Polygon promises a wide selection of pop-ups ranging from restaurants and farmers’ markets, to yoga teaching and galleries.
