Brighton Music Conference (BMC), is excited to be the first music conference to take place in 2020, uniting the industry to collaborate, inspire and find solutions to support business during the pandemic. Taking place from Thurs 1 – Fri 2 Oct, the award-winning event will return to the prestigious British Airways i360 venue on Brighton’s beachfront for its seventh edition with the addition of a new ‘online virtual pass’ to access the conference online in partnership with Beatport.
In order to comply with the new guidelines both venue & theatre capacity has been reduced accordingly and the team have been working hard to finalise the updated BMC programme to maintain the high level of panels and talks, with key industry speakers. The beachfront complex will host three theatres featuring in-depth discussions and debates on the biggest issues facing the electronic and wider music industry such as ‘the new normal’, diversity, mental health, streaming, the environment and current music and business trends. The Label Lounge A&R Sessions also returns for its second year at BMC, partnering with the Association of Independent Music. “It’s great that the Brighton Music Conference (BMC) is happening at the start of October,” says DJ Mag Editor, Carl Loben. “The electronic music industry has been one of the hardest hit by the Coronavirus Crisis, and it’s important that networking/information-sharing events such as BMC are held — in a safe way — in order for the industry to work together and seek solutions to emerge out the other side.”
