The UK’s first travelling rum festival is coming to Brighton this Halloween for a special spooky weekend. Lucy, the event’s founder decided to set it up after having visited many great gin and beer festivals and realising there needed to be one for fellow rum lovers.
For this Halloween Special, the festival is teaming up with one of Sussex’s own rums – Cloven Hoof. Together they hope to bring Caribbean and Cuban themes to the weekend, with great food, cocktails and global music. On hand will be over 100 hundred rums for you to see, taste and buy. Festivalgoers will be greeted with a rum festival glass and a brochure about all the types of rum and their suppliers, to take home and pour over. There’ll also be a free Rum punch for everyone in fancy dress.
Once you’re inside, you can sample any of the wonderful rum range with the simple purchase of a drinks voucher. This will also include a mixer and garnish of your choice. As well as an abundance of world-class rum, there will be dancing, talks from industry experts, food to buy and just a load of good fun. What’s not to love?
The Rum Festival Brighton – Halloween Special comes to the Clarendon Centre, New England Street, on Fri 27 – Sat 28 Oct, 2017
