‘Milan, 1910. Two ideas are growing rapidly, both worlds apart and irreconcilable to each other. Violence sweeps the streets of a changing city. On one side the capitalists join forces with the Catholic Church, presided over by Cardinal Capulet. On the other, the angry communists, funded by the great Montague family, grow ever more powerful. Violence is inevitable, love is fleeting.’

‘Romeo and Juliet’ will begin its run at The Hawth Theatre, Crawley on 17, 22 and 23 Feb 2016, before continuing to The Rialto Theatre, Brighton on the 24 Feb and The Hub Theatre, Haywards Heath on the 9 March.
