Following on from their sell-out party last October, which saw Justin Robertson and Krystal Klear smash it, Vanishing Point are returning to Patterns with a bang. They’re throwing a special all-night bash, which will feature one of their favourite DJ outfits, Optimo, who’ll be playing a special five hours+ ‘Until the Music Stops’ set.
A Sunday night institution at Glasgow’s iconic Sub Club for 13 years Optimo’s JD Twitch and JG Wilkes have scant regard for genres and fads. In fact you never know quite what you’re going to hear at one of their shows. It might be new wave one minute and banging techno the next, but you’ll not only hear tracks that you love, but leave with a long list of ‘new favourite’ tracks. As Twitch and Wilkes themselves, say “We Love Your Ears!”
The pair have toured the globe playing at some of the biggest parties and festivals in the world. They’ve also produced an extensive catalogue of remixes, including some amazing work for Liquid Liquid, Django Django, Factory Floor, Chvrches, Franz Ferdinand and Hot Chip.
Upstairs at Patterns, Vanishing Point residents Teamy and Matthew Balaam will be joined by Matt King from Skint Records. Classic stuff…
