It’s back! Whalefest 2014, The World’s largest festival dedicated to whales, is soon to be returning to Brighton for the 3rd year running.

This year, the festival anticipates over 10,000 visitors. It’s located at the Brighton Hilton Metropole, the same place where the International Whaling Commission gathered to sign the moratorium to end whaling in 1982.

The event, which will take place over the third weekend of March (14th-16th), will include live performances, talks, movies, prose, workshops, exhibitions, and music. Based on the prior success of Whalefest, this year guarantees a fun learning experience for all ages and a fascinating insight into the lives of these amazing creatures. The money raised will directly benefit the World Cetacean Alliance (WCA), a global partnership devoted to protecting the world’s cetaceans (whales, dolphins & porpoises).

Whalefest will promote awareness of the current threats whales face, hopefully inspiring them to help the largest mammals on earth. The festival is also a brilliant platform to network with others who share similar ambitions and interests, as it attracts people from all over the globe.

Come and celebrate your passion of whales with us at Whalefest this March in Brighton! And find out how you can help protect our earth’s precious marine life.
