Swanage experiences moderate temperatures throughout the year, making it an ideal destination for sea-lovers. Although the humidity can be slightly on the higher side, you won’t feel uncomfortable because of the moderate temperature and gentle sea breeze. Being England, is always a chance of a quick shower, but tourists can always check the local weather.

Summers in Swanage

The hottest months of the year are June, July and August, although sometimes the good weather continues on right through September. The average temperature reaches a maximum of 23-degrees Celsius and the minimum is 10.5-degrees. Most tourists come to Swanage to enjoy a sunbathe at the beach. The temperature is not too high, and with clear skies, the beach is ideal for sunbathing. Although the temperature hovers around 23 degrees in the summer, the weather can feel like autumn and evenings can sometimes feel cool.

Rain and snow in Swanage

Swanage is lucky to experience low precipitation even in the months of September, October, and November. Although this town doesn’t get too much rainfall, you won’t feel too hot here. The climate is pleasant throughout the year. You may, however, come across frequent bursts of a passing shower. Does that mean it doesn’t snow in Swanage?

According to Swanage News and reports from the weather stations, this town, despite being by the sea, can receive a small amount of snowfall anywhere from the end of December until mid- March, though it doesn’t tend to snow for long and causes little travel disruption.

Best time to visit Swanage

Swanage’s beautiful location and moderate temperature make it a favourite destination for sea-lovers at any time of year. The busiest tourism month in this town is August. It is the time when Swanage hosts various festivals and music concerts. May, July and October are also favourable months for tourism.

Now that you know all about the weather conditions of Swanage, plan your trip accordingly. Make sure you make your bookings early because the peak season sees an influx of thousands of tourists wanting to make bookings.
