Drusillas Park Shriek Week 

On Sat 21 Oct – Sun 29 Oct, Drusillas Park will be hosting a week of spook-tacular fun for your kids. Learn more about spiders from the experts at ‘Spider’s Den’ and discover why these eight-legged friends are actually pretty amazing. You are also dared to enter the corridors of Haunted Heights – a live action haunted house experience. Weald & Downland Museum October Half Terms 

This October half term, Sat 21 – Sun 23, take the family to Weald & Downland living museum for a week of indoor and outdoor activities. Family Halloween Boat Trips at Chichester Canal 

Enjoy a 2-hour boat trip surrounded by the open countryside along the Chichester Canal. Pumpkin Picking at South Farm 

In Rodmell, just outside of Lewes, you will find South Farm which is a gorgeous family run working farm nestled in the South Downs. Their ‘Pick Your Own Pumpkins’ season starts on Sun 14 October, and runs right through to Halloween. They will be open everyday from 10am to 4pm weather permitting. There are lots of different varieties and sizes of pumpkins and squashes priced from £1 up to £10 depending on size (most are around £3). 

SPELLBOUND Hallowe’en Party at Komedia 

Spellbound is Brighton’s longest-running and best-loved Alternative 80s night, and its Hallowe’en Party is always the biggest in town. This year the party will kick off from 11pm at Komedia. DJs Simon Price & Jayney BlamBlam spin a mix of Alt-80s monster tunes and all-time Hallowe’en anthems for a very dressed-up crowd. 

Expect party-friendly bangers by The Cure, Siouxsie, The Cramps, Billy Idol, Dead Or Alive, Kate Bush, Soft Cell, The Cult, Depeche Mode etc but also “The Monster Mash”, “Thriller”, “The Time Warp”, “Ghostbusters” and all the other creepy classics you wanna hear.
