Nearly 30 of Brighton & Hove’s top restaurants have been confirmed for this year’s OctoberBEST making it their biggest year yet. The restaurant festival will return next month offering either a specially-crafted £20 menu or dining offers over a 16-day period.
Now in its fourth year, OctoberBEST aims to celebrate the city’s eclectic dining culture by offering high-quality food at an affordable price. The extensive list of 28 restaurants has been composed by the team at Brighton’s Best Restaurants to take place from 4 Friday October until Sunday 20 October.

Customers can enjoy a range of cuisines in restaurants across the city, including first-time participants at family-run Chard in Hove. Their culinary experience will host ‘Dining at the Long Table’ consisting of a communal three-course menu utilising some of the best local, seasonal produce. Easy Tiger (The Hampton Arms) will offer a selection of Keralan dishes highlighting food from one of India’s most diverse regions, while Lucky Khao’s Northern Thai plates will feature Organic goat pad phrik and grilled Poole Bay clams on their menu. Other new additions this year include Halisco, Baby Bao (The Pond), Kujira and Polpo exhibiting Mexican, Taiwanese, Japanese and Venetian menus respectively.
“We are delighted with this year’s OctoberBEST line up – it’s the most varied and exciting yet,” says Andy Lynes, founder of Brighton’s Best Restaurants in 2015 alongside Patrick McGuigan and Euan MacDonald. “Brighton’s restaurant scene is now firmly established as one of the best in the country and OctoberBEST is a fantastic opportunity for locals and visitors alike to really explore the city’s culinary offerings without breaking the bank.
Mr Lynes added: “The menus are all looking great this year, from ‘A Taste of Autumn’ at

the Ginger Fox in Henfield – winner of ‘Best Out of Town Destination’ at 2019’s Brighton’s Best Restaurant Awards – to The Chilli Pickle’s ‘Little India in Singapore’, seafood at The Salt Room, Riddle and Finns and the Urchin, small plates at Bincho Yakitori, 64 Degrees, Fourth and Church and Plateau, classic French fare at Petit Pois, and loads more.”
etch – headed by MasterChef: the Professionals winner Steven Edwards – will be running competitions on their social media pages over the next few weeks for customers to win a jaw-dropping nine-course meal for just £20.
Brighton’s Best Restaurants is also working with a host of supplier partners this year to feature more local produce on some of the £20 menus. Food and drink will be sourced from

Enotria & Coe, Ridgeview, The Cheese Man, Premier Fruits, Brighton & Newhaven Fish Sales, Timpson’s Meat, Poultry & Game, and Bolney Wine Estate Vermouth.
