Indie-pop singer-songwriter Will Joseph Cook arrives at Brighton’s Hope & Ruin on Sat 29 Oct as part of his first ever UK tour.

After the release of his debut EP You Jump I Run last year, Cook has bounded from strength to strength, with another EP Proof Enough following soon after. In a little over 12 months, the Kent-born artist has amassed over ten million streams worldwide in just as much time, his two EPs received with critical acclaim. The addictive Beach, Take Me Dancing and Girls Like Me may be his most distinguished tracks, with the latter boasting a spot on BBC Radio 1’s In New Music We Trust, however the artist deserves recognition for his other efforts, with newest single Sweet Dreamer grasping the attention of the radio show again as their Track of the Week upon its release.

An obsessive Tweeter, Cook appeals to the technology generation with his off-the-cuff pop culture references, tongue-in-cheek wit and thoughtful quips – a trait we’ve seen translates well to the production of his music videos, but we’ve no doubt will translate just as well to the stage too. Having already had successful sets at Leefest, Reading & Leeds, and Leopallooza, as well as sold-out shows at both the Barfly and Boston Music Rooms, there’s little doubt that the Spotify Spotlight on 2016 singer can put on a show.

Only one question comes to mind when we consider Will Joseph Cook: well, will he?
