When life gives you lemons, head down to Patterns! The Brighton club and bar will be celebrating World Gin Day on Sat 11 June, with an amazing selection of G&Ts and entertainment. The iconic sea-facing arts and culture venue will be ‘lifting spirits’ everywhere with a free World Gin Day party from midday. It’ll be complete with live swing music, a menu of over 30 different gin and tonics to try, and some rather special gin infusions made in-house.
The infusions menu will feature five specially made gin cocktails for £5. Always wanted to be a mermaid? Unleash your inner Ariel with their glittery Mermaid Martini, made with a shimmering turquoise Mermaid Tears Gin. Bloody Mary lovers can tick one of life’s great taste adventures of their bucket list with a Hot Dog Gin infused Bloody Mary.
Gin-based prizes will be handed out to the best dressed gin drinkers at 2pm. Free gin cocktails being offered to anyone who gets dressed up and brings a teacup to be filled, or Tweet/Instagram Patterns with a ‘I Love Gin’ inspired photo, using the hashtag #worldgindayatpatterns.
Much loved Brighton band, The Swing Ninjas, will be getting people dancing between 5-7pm with their signature mix of 30s and 40s New Orleans’ swing and Parisian jazz. Singing original tunes and classic standards, 100-year-old music is given a breath of fresh air by their energetic performances, immaculate dress and tongue-in-cheek charm. Guiding you on happy journey through musical tastes, smiles are spread one note at a time.
The venue’s sun-drenched outdoor terrace will also be in full swing with music and plenty of sizzling hot dogs to soak up the gin, courtesy of The Dog Haus at Patterns. As usual Patterns £15 weekend bottomless boozy brunch will be available with brunch dogs, free-flowing Prosecco and Bloody Marys (hot dog gin optional).
