Zippos Circus has a Celebration In Hove

Family favourite Zippo’s Circus brings their new show ‘Celebration’ to Hove Lawns on Thurs 24 Aug – Tues 6 Sept. In 2016 Britain’s favourite circus is celebrating its 30th year on the road with a paw-some line-up of artists including amazing acrobats – and acrocats. Yes, fur real!

From France, and for the first time in the UK, Zippo’s presents Roseline and her talented family of pet cats in a feline display high on natural agility, balance, comedy and cuteness.

Also, on the four-legged front, and again new to Zippo’s, comes the incredible horsemanship of Boris Borissov with his stunning pure white larger-than-life heavy horses. Boris and his troupe display an astonishing array of equestrian skills as well as juggling and acrobatics on horseback.

Not to be outdone, human daring features a-plenty in the new show, including eye-popping thrills from Brazilian Alex Michael, one of the few trapeze artists in the world to work without a safety net high above the circus ring; Czech husband and wife duo Toni and Nikol with their nail-biting knife-throwing routine; and Duo Galaxy from Germany with their terrifying ‘Wheel of Death’ – firm favourites at Zippo’s winter performances in Hyde Park Winter Wonderland.

On the lighter side, visitors can enjoy comic antics from new Italian clown Mr Lorenz; flaming fun from Alex the Fireman; The Timbuktu Tumblers from Kenya; and foot juggling from Italian beauty Romy; all hosted by Norman Barrett MBE – Ringmaster extraordinaire with his cheeky performing budgerigars.

With tickets available from £9 for adults and £7.50 for children Zippo’s Circus is the purrfect family entertainment.
